Equipment is expensive. Waiting is too.
MRI, CT and other imaging equipment is costly to buy, staff and maintain. When a significant part of your volume comes from injury patients billed under a letter of protection or lien, payment for those scans follows the case, not your cost schedule.
Because injured patients are often sent for imaging early in their care, imaging centers can carry balances for a long stretch before a case settles.
What we look at
For imaging receivables, we typically look at:
- Your referral sources and the attorneys behind the cases
- The documentation and billing for each study
- Whether each balance is supported by a letter of protection or lien
- Your center’s history with personal injury work
How to start
Tell us about your center. We will review your accounts, explain what we can fund and put every term in writing. You can also read our guide on billing best practices for injury providers.
